April is the month for craft beer lovers in North Carolina. Every April, North Carolina breweries are highlighted during North Carolina Beer Month activities and events. This year, North Carolina Beer Month is being sponsored by Visit North Carolina and the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild. The celebration is in its’ sixth year, and with so many breweries and events to choose from, it is sure to quench the thirst of any craft beer fan.
North Carolina is home to over 200 breweries. That number is triple the amount of breweries less than a decade ago in the state. North Carolina now has the most breweries in the south, from Texas to Tennessee. Several home brewed favorites have won recognition on a national level, and the number of new breweries opening in the state continues to grow by the year.
During NC Craft Beer Month, NCBeerMonth.com provides website visitors with beer tour ideas and a comprehensive list of North Carolina breweries and where to find them. In addition, craft beer fans can find a complete list of NC Craft Beer Month events and activities.
Of course, you won’t have to look too far to find Fayetteville’s oldest microbrewery on the list of breweries. Simply search for Fayetteville, and there we are. The Mash House is consistantly producing new and exciting craft beers, including our Jack’d Up Stout, a gold medal winner during NC Craft Beer Month last April at the Carolinas Championship of Beer.
This year, the Mash House is celebrating North Carolina Craft Beer Month by offering $3 select pints at our Fayetteville restaurant location. Also, come see us at the Mash House on April 11th for our Carolina Craft & Courses beer dinner event. Enjoy a five course dinner, paired with specially chosen craft beers home brewed right here at the Mash House in Fayetteville.
How will you celebrate North Carolina’s booming craft beer industry this April? We suggest you get out across the state and taste all that the hundreds of breweries in North Carolina have to offer. However, if traveling the state is not an option, you don’t have to go very far to enjoy some of the best craft beer around. Come in and see us at the Mash House!
